The Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria (MOBIN) was part of mourners who thronged the ancestral home of Engineer Clifford Iroanya, whose father was laid to rest last weekend.
The pro Biafran organization, led by its Director General, Comrade Rita Anigbogu arrived the Imo community of Iroanya Achi, of Aro-Ndionyemobi autonomous community, Oguta, for the ceremony, where hundreds of other mourners comprising of family, in laws, friends and well wishers gathered to pay their last respects to Ichie Ezinna Bernard Nsidinanya Iroanya.
Addressing the family while presenting the traditional items for mourning, MOBIN, through its Director of Political Education, Dr Joseph Agbo said it has come to stand with a dear friend and brother in this trying time.
He stated that Biafra is a family, and all Biafrans are keen on being free. Agbo also used the opportunity to appeal to Biafrans to embrace the political message of MOBIN for the emancipation of Biafra.
The Iroanya family thanked the group, and expressed gratitude for their presence at the burial ceremony.
Highlights of the ceremony include various cultural displays, including the Itu Uli, women’s cultural dances, including the Umudihe Orlu Dance, and the Ekeleke masquerade displays.
