Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria begin reinauguration of Chapters across Biafraland

By Amaka Ani, Dunukofia Anambra State

The Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria (MOBIN) has resumed the inauguration of its chapters in the Biafran states of Nigeria.

According to information from the Chairman, Barrister Emeka Emekesiri who delivered a speech at the maiden reinauguration at Dunukofia Anambra State, only true Biafrans will take charge of political offices from now henceforth in Biafraland.

Spesking through the Director General of MOBIN, Rita Eberechukwu Anigbogu who represented him, Emekesiri said:

“We are here again in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State to strengthen our political structures to do it again better than we did in 2017.

“Our mission is to put Biafrans in power in the whole of Biafraland. We can no longer allow our political opponents from the North or West to install their stooges and errand boys in Biafraland to rule over us for the benefit of their slave masters.

“We have resolved that a Biafran activist must occupy the Anambra State Government House in 2021”.

ANAMBRA 2021: Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria begins re-inauguration/re-orientation of Chapters in Anambra

The political wing of the Biafran struggle, Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria (MOBIN) has announced plans to begin the re-inauguration and re-orientation of its chapters across the 21 local government areas in Anambra State.

MOBIN said the move is in line with its plans to educate, persuade and get Biafrans to run for political offices, win elections, and take charge of the Biafran territory politically.

Speaking to MOBIN MEDIA over the weekend, Director General of the political organization, Comrade Rita Anigbogu said that MOBIN’s mandate in Anambra State is to alert Biafrans of the dangers of having non-Biafrans in power, educate them on the importance of partisan politics, persuade them to join politics, mobilize the teeming millions, and ensure that they win in the elections.

She argued that with the growing growing lack of responsible leadership in Nigeria, it has become imperative for the different nationalities to take their destinies into their own hands and chart their future themselves.

She also said “We are not INAUGURATING, we are RE-INAUGURATING our MOBIN chapters in all the local governments and political wards in Anambra state.  We know what MOBIN stands for, you know our vision and mission.

“We are Biafra politicians and we are not joking when we say that Biafra activists will take over the political space of Biafra land.

“We were in Anambra 2017 and we are getting ready for Anambra 2021. We are re inaugurating to start reinforcing our structures in all the local governments areas and wards in Anambra state, starting with Dunukofia Local Government Area.

“We want to gather the Biafrans especially those who believe that although they are Biafra indigenes, they are also Nigeria citizens. Those who say that as long as they are still in Nigeria that they will participate in everything happening in Nigeria till Biafra eventually regain its lost sovereignty after the 1969-70 war.

“We are different, we are reinaugurating to start getting our PVC together. Our PVC is our own AK47 and we will use it to decide who will go for us as long as the politics of Anambra is concerned. At the expiration of the reinauguration, we can authoritatively tell you how many MOBIN members that we have in Anambra state and whether we can drive home our insistence of deciding who goes to Agu Awka as the governor and those who will be in the house of Assembly”, Anigbogu declared.

We are Biafrans fighting for freedom, our PVC is our AK 47- Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria says as it plans political inauguration in Dunukofia Anambra State

The umbrella body of Biafrans in politics, Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria has stated that although they are fighting a bitter war for the purpose of Biafra’s freedom from Nigeria, they are battling with different kinds of weapon from the ones usually deployed for war.

It said that in place of the gun AK47, its deploying Biafrans with their PVCs to ensure that core Biafrans win the elections and take control of government in the state.

MOBIN, while revealing its plans to go into Anambra 2021 elections, said it will be re-inaugurating its chapters in all local governments of the state, beginning with Dunukofia Local Government Area, and then moving into the other LGs of the state.

In her message to MOBIN MEDIA on the development, Rita Anigbogu who is the Director General of the political organization said;

At the expiration of the reinauguration, we can authoritatively tell you how many MOBIN members that we have in Anambra state and whether we can drive home our insistence of deciding who goes to Agu Awka as the governor and those who will be in the House of Assembly.

We are beginning to ease out of a pandemic lockdown. Life and it’s existence will not be terminated with the pandemic and so the political activities. The reinauguration is not only special but important to us because our enemies are not resting and we will not rest. We want to get our tact together, we want to be ready at all time knowing that Anambra election is almost with us. We will guide and guard ourselves with our facemasks, observe the social distancing and our hand sanitizers will be handy with us.

“In Anambra 2021 election, our people will witness the Biafra spirit. The multitude of Biafrans that will participate in the next year’s election will out number that of 2017. We have the message and we have the content. Long live Biafra, God bless Biafra, forward ever, backward never.”

How Abacha killed Africa’s 1st car dream-MASSOB reveals, mourns Dr Ezekiel Izuogu

Leadership of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has said that the death of Engr Ezekiel Izuogu, Nigeria’s first car manufacturer was as shocking as it was painful.

MASSOB, through its Leader, Comrade Uchenna Madu in a letter to MOBIN MEDIA, described Izuogu as a ‘patriotic Biafran’, whose death was a huge physical loss to Biafra and Africa. The organisation recalled how General Sani Abacha’s government frustrated Izuogu’s efforts to give Africa its first indigenous car, and said he deserves to be honoured and celebrated forever, despite the frustration.

The message read;

“MASSOB was shocked to learnt about the sudden death of Engr Ezekiel Izuogu. His death was a huge physical loss to the people of Biafra and Africa in general. He is a patriotic Biafran that will forever be honoured and celebrated.

“The administration of General Sani Abacha and other successive governments of Nigeria frustrated his technological ingenuity that was deeply rooted in in his Igboistic nature and aspirations, his death is being celebrated by the dormant and unprogressive brains of Hausa Fulani who taught they have killed his V-600 vision and other technological advancements.

“Though MASSOB mourns his physical loss but his technological ingenuity, political aspirations and economical stability of Biafra land are still intact, soon the reminders of Ezekiel Izuogu will manifest.

“MASSOB rejects the hypocritical and subtle condolences of Nigeria federal government led by President Mohammadu Buhari. What moulded and shaped Ezekiel Izuogu is not dead, the spirit of Biafranism and ingenuity of Igbo man can never die. He is a patriotic and indefatigable Igbo man whose love for his Igboism have no match, his desire to project Igboism and unquenchable love for Igbo can never cease even in his transition.

“Even though Nigeria rejected and consciously failed to project his V-600 locally made car in 1997, even before India manufactured their first locally made car called “INDI” because he is an Igbo man, Ezekiel Izuogu also rejected the fortune offer from South Africa government to establish his Izuogu Motor Manufacturing company in Pretoria. He is a true Biafran that love to promote his Biafranism in Biafra soil”, it read.

GOOD NEWS: Customary Government of Biafra appoints Administrator and Envoy for South Africa

The Indigenous People of Biafra has appointed a Customary Government Administrator and Envoy for South Africa.

In a letter addressed to the Government of the Republic of South African through its Minister of Homeland Affairs, Dr Dr Pakishe Aaron Motsoaledi, the Biafrans announced the appointment of Victor Osonduagwuike Akanno, who is an engineer as its Administrator.

The letter, signed by Chairman of the Governing Council of the Customary Government of Indigenous People of Biafra, Emeka John Chigozie Emekesiri, Esq. announced that Engineer Akanno will be responsible for organizing Biafrans and managing their internal affairs in South Africa.

He would also ensure that they live in peace and harmony with their hosts, and work with the laws of the country.

Other parts of the letter read as follows:“We are the custodians of the Customary Government of Indigenous People of Biafra which oversees and manages the affairs of the remnants of the Biafrans who are scattered in all parts of the world on self-exile since after the war between Biafra and Nigeria in 1970. Following the collapse of the Republic of Biafra and the loss of her sovereignty, some of our people who could not endure the persecutions and humiliations we faced and still face in Nigeria went on self-exile to foreign countries. Others who could not escape the ordeals remained in their homeland and were granted the Nigerian citizenship and permitted to practise their Customary Law pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Thus, we are Nigerians by citizenship and subject to the Nigerian law but Biafrans by indigenous identity and practicing our Customary Law under the Nigerian Legal System until we gain independence by due process of law.

“The Biafrans have migrated to all parts of the world in their great numbers. We can confirm that there is a large Biafran Community in South Africa. Also, the Biafran Babies who were evacuated from the war and carried to various countries of the world to save them from starvation and death have now grown to large communities desiring to reconnect with their ancestral roots. Introducing our Customary Government Administrator and Envoy in South Africa:

“It is with great pleasure that we introduce MR VICTOR OSONDUAGWUIKE AKANNO whose details are shown above as our Customary Government Administrator and Envoy in South Africa. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and Member of the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), trained at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), South Africa. He has impressive Curriculum Vitae.

“Mr Akanno is saddled with the task of organizing the Biafrans in South Africa and managing their internal affairs, ensuring that they live peacefully in harmony with their host communities and with one another, ensuring orderliness, discipline, and respect to constituted authorities and obedience to the laws of the country. He shall operate under Customary Law to manage the internal affairs of our children in South Africa and liaise with the Ministry of Home Affairs in South Africa in matters pertaining to them if your Office requires him to do so.

“We encourage our children to work hard and earn decent living and participate fully in the development of the communities and cities where they live in any part of the world. We believe that they shall contribute immensely in the development of their host towns and communities in South Africa and add value to the economy of the country.

“We have instructed our Customary Government Administrator and Envoy to present himself and his executive members to your Office in due course for a formal introduction. Please receive him in the name of the surviving Elders of Biafraland who have sent him to represent us in South Africa.

“We pray the Almighty God to be with you, and bless you with divine wisdom and good health to excel in your Office, and grant you the desires of your innermost heart in accordance with his perfect will”, the letter said.

Best time to establish political Biafran Government in Nigeria is now, says MOBIN

*Biafra Activists should realize this and take advantage

The Director General of the Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria (MOBIN), Comrade Rita Anigbogu has called on all Biafrans to ‘see the signs’ in the environment and reslind to it by voting in a wholly pro-Biafran government in all the Biafran states of Nigeria.

Anigbogu, while fielding questions from MOBIN MEDIA reporters in Enugu, said Nigeria is currently distsbilized politically, and as such, Biafrans must take advantage of this and elect themselves into power, taking total control of Biafraland in the process.

She also said that a complete control of Political power in the whole region will drive the force of Biafra actualizarion faster than anything that ever happened in the zone.

Her words: “Nigeria is very confused right now. We have a very weak federal government, with its officials all struggling for personal benefits. The national party that controls the federal government is also riddled with the political bullets it has been shooting at itself. Corruption is at its peak, and even state governors and governments are confused about what’s happening in Aso Rock. All that the elected governments have now is official power, and there is no single, true support of the populace. Biafraland is very ripe for political hijack of power, at the level governors, Federal and state lawmakers, local government chairmen and councillors.

“Now is our time to penetrate and take over. I am calling on Biafrans within and outside Biafra, within and outside Nigeria, and all over the world to invest heavily now in politics. If we win political offices in our zone, that’s the fastest way to make legislations and manifest Biafra, through the legal, human rights and political methodology.

“All is now set. Nigeria has never been so vulnerable, and we must take advantage and pounce now”, Anigbogu stated.

MOBIN, BIAFRANS WITHDRAW SUPPORT FOR UPP – Press Statement of the Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria (MOBIN)

The Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria (MOBIN) wishes to inform the general public that it has withdrawn its support for the United Progressive Party (UPP).

Earlier this year, the UPP presented itself as the ideal political platform where Biafrans can get good governance in our struggle for freedom. On this premise, MOBIN had worked assiduously, believing that it was building a formidable haven in the interest of Biafrans. This was based on three cardinal principles which Biafrans at this juncture, cannot afford to sacrifice-Justice, Equity and Truth.

MOBIN believes that aside the fact that the very first political experiment involving Biafrans by the party was fraught with fraud and irregularities- the Anambra governorship primaries, the UPP has not demonstrated it’s an ideal party for the Biafran people.

In other Nigerian environments, the Anambra primaries would have been acceptable, but the contest was between two Biafrans and if any of them had won through that flawed process, MOBIN would still have rejected it. This is because the very corruption which had maligned Biafrans in Nigeria was introduced in the process, and as such, is unacceptable.

Accepting it would have been a betrayal of the very principles and people MOBIN had set out to defend.

Before Biafrans joined the party, neither Biafrans nor UPP had any edge in Nigerian politics. The experiment was worthwhile since both parties benefited immensely- while the party soared in popularity overnight, the Biafrans learnt one or two things about politics. It was a worthwhile adventure, and fun while it lasted.

At the moment, MOBIN wants to reassure Biafrans that it is still having consultations and will come up with a better political alternative for this year’s governorship elections in Anambra State.

In the interim, MOBIN will continue to build its structures across Biafraland, and educate Biafrans on the benefits of the political process in the struggle for freedom from Nigeria. Biafrans across the world are hereby advised to be on standby, especially in Anambra State. Be assured that MOBIN shall never compromise your efforts for a pot of porridge. Our position can never run contrary to that on which the Biafran ideology is hinged, and that includes Justice, Equity and Truth.

MOBIN wishes to salute all Biafrans who have expressed great faith in the political experiment, which is beginning to pay off. MOBIN wishes to especially thank Biafran students, who embraced the ideologies and formed the very fast growing Biafran Students Union (BIASU).

MOBIN also salutes Biafrans who for now, appear to be skeptical about going through the political option. Despite ideological differences, MOBIN is convinced that this is the way to go in achieving the freedom that will make Biafra a subject of international law.

Once again, Biafrans should be on standby as our position will be unveiled soon.

God bless you all.

SIGNED,

Rita Eberechukwu Anigbogu,
DIRECTOR GENERAL.

UPP Has Failed Biafra – Offodile, MOBIN

For working against the tenets of democracy and showing disrespect to human life, principles which are contrary to the Biafran ideology, the United People’s Party, UPP, has failed Biafra. These were the opinions of the former guber aspirant on the party’s platform, Hon Chudi Offodile, and a pro-Biafra group, Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria, MOBIN, Jude Atupulazi reports.
Briefing newsmen in Awka in the wake of the UPP gubernatorial primary election also in Awka, Chudi Offodile, who withdrew from the primary over alleged doctoring of the delegates list, announced his resignation from UPP.
According to the two-time Federal House member, apart from the wilful and corrupt manipulation of the party delegates list by the national chairman of the party, Chekwas Okorie, the party’s gross insensitivity to the life of a party member who slumped and died at the accreditation venue, finally convinced him that UPP was not the right party for people of good conscience.
He recalled that despite his call on the party to call off the primary as a mark of respect to the dead, the party went ahead with the said primary which, he alleged, was doctored to favour his opponent, Osita Chidoka.
He said it was what compelled him to reconsider his continued membership of UPP, hence his resignation.Offodile’s resignation came at the same time that a pro-Biafra group, Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria, MOBIN, is also considering opting out of its alliance with UPP.
Its spokesman and administrator, Comrade Anthony Aniebue, who stated this at a press briefing in Awka, condemned UPP led by Chief Chekwas Okorie for, according to him, acting against all known democratic norms.
In his media briefing, Offodile recalled how efforts he made to draw the attention of the party hierarchy to the doctored list before the primary failed to have the desired effect.
He accused the party leadership of reversing and doctoring the delegates list that emanated from their ward and local government congress in June this year which was signed by the state chairman and secretary and counter signed by the national headquarters of the party.
He said that everyone was surprised when a new list that contained strange names was later published on the party’s website on July 29 and variously amended on the 4th and 5th of August.
‘The website list contained strange names with no phone numbers unlike the authentic delegates list that had phone numbers of all delegates displayed,’ Offodile said.
He further alleged that when accreditation commenced on the day of the primary election, he was informed that only those whose names appeared on the website list were being allowed into the venue, a development, he said, that prompted him to drive to the venue to hand a protest letter to the election committee chairman, Chief Ejike Uche, and the state party chairman, Dr Sylvester Igwilo.
He said that after threatening them with withdrawal from the primary if they insisted on using the allegedly doctored list, he also went to the office of the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, to register his protest.Offodile said he did not appoint any agent or participate in what he called the Kangaroo primary.
He said that it was in the midst of the scuffle trailing the disenfranchising of some delegates that the police fired tear gas canisters on the crowd, leading to the slumping and death of a delegate, Hon Uwakwe Maduabuchi, chairman of Owerre Ezukala Ward 1, Orumba South LGA.
He said the deceased, even though his name appeared on the list, was fighting the injustice of the exclusion of some of his members whose names had appeared on the original list.
He said that following the man’s death, his call to the election committee to call off the exercise in deference to the dead fell on deaf ears.
‘When the call fell on deaf ears and considering that my Christian faith and the Biafran ideology we profess place a high premium on human life, I promptly withdrew from the exercise. I consider it unconscionable for the party to have carried on with the primary under the circumstances,’ Offodile explained.
He expressed regret that despite the party’s constitutional provision that only a ward congress could replace those elected officers whose names went missing from the new list, the national chairman, Okorie, unilaterally replaced them across the 264 wards in the state, thus giving himself, what Offodile called preference shares in the primary and in his ”dream government” in Anambra State.
Offodile therefore called on his supporters and all those who believed in Biafra’s ideology of freedom and justice to do same, while awaiting further directives from him.
When contacted for his reaction, the state chairman of the party, Dr Sylvester Igwilo, said there was no need to talk about the issues raised by Offodile since Offodile had left the party.
Igwilo said the primary which he had no powers to stop, had been done and dusted and that there was no further need to revisit it, especially after he had earlier spoken extensively on it.’There’s no point crying over spilt milk. The primary has come and gone,’ Igwilo stated.
